										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the acoustic product tests, we noticed that InfiniSpring®-springs have very large plastic deformation capacity. The spring loads were above 200 kg before the steel rivets failed. Springs in the acoustic products are for loads up to 25 kg and InfiniSpring®-springs experienced very large plastic deformations in the tensile tests, but did not fail.</p>
<p>The acoustic product tensile tests with very large plastic deformations made us want to increase the loading speed and to see InfiniSpring® shock load performance. InfiniSpring® 3HS20 was chosen for the tests. It is cut out of a 3 mm thick sheet metal plate, weighting only 38 grams. This spring can carry loads up to 20 kg.</p>
<p>In the shock tests a chain is connected to the spring and on the other end of the chain there is a 9 kg mass. InfiniSpring® 3HS20 can carry the 9 kg static mass easily. In the shock test this mass is first lifted higher and then dropped in order to gain an impact force for the spring. Spring deforms due to this impact and reduces the impact force significantly. Tests and test results are shown in the video below:</p>

<p>InfiniSpring® 3HS20 tests and tests results concluded:</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Test 1:</strong><br />
• Dropped mass is 9 kg<br />
• Drop height is 1 meter<br />
• The spring length increases 50 mm<br />
• The spring absorbs 90 Joules of energy</p>
<p><strong>Test 2:</strong><br />
• Dropped mass is 9 kg<br />
• Drop height is 2 meters<br />
• The spring length increases 110 mm<br />
• The spring absorbs 170 Joules of energy</p>
<p>InfiniSpring® laser cut sheet metal steel springs are highly effective against shock loads. Shock loads need to be managed, for example in explosions and seismic events.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We wanted to extend our acoustic product offering and have now <strong>InfiniSpring® Acoustic Wall Ties</strong> for soundproofed walls available. Acoustic wall tie designs are presented below and both<strong> designs utilize standardized InfiniSpring®-spring plate and connection parts</strong>. InfiniSpring® Acoustic Wall Ties decouple walls and <strong>cut off noise from around 14 Hz upwards</strong>. We hear sounds from about <strong>20 Hz to 20 kHz</strong>.  This range is also a commonly referenced audio frequency range. <strong>InfiniSpring®-springs function as low pass filters in the audio frequency range.</strong></p>
<p>Wall ties are typically installed between a fixed wall and a plasterboard wall. The plasterboard wall is installed resiliently, and the plasterboard wall can be constructed using steel profiles or structural laminated veneer lumber. Another option is to install both walls resiliently. <strong>Typical applications</strong> consist of <strong>music rooms,</strong> <strong>recording studios, cinemas, residential and office buildings, nightclubs, concert venues, industrial developments, and laboratories</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Acoustic wall ties follow EN 14195 standard requirements. Declaration of Performance and CE-marking have been completed for the acoustic wall ties. </strong></p>
<p>Figure 1 below shows <strong>Acoustic Wall Tie 128NN</strong> design.</p>

<p>The Acoustic Wall Tie 128NN consists of a spring plate and two nail plates. The distance between the nail plate ends is 128 mm. On the Product page you can find Product Card for AWT250NN, where distance between nail plate ends is 250 mm. Acoustic wall tie installation is made using nail plates. Figure 2 below shows the installation.</p>

<p>The second developed acoustic wall tie design is Acoustic Wall Tie 94NA. Acoustic Wall Tie 94NA is equipped with a nail plate and a 90-degree bend on the other side. Figure 2 below shows the wall tie design.</p>

<p>The Acoustic Wall Tie 94NA consists of a spring plate, an angle plate, and a nail plate. The distance between the nail plate and the angle plate end is 94 mm. Other dimensions can be made as well. Acoustic wall tie installation is made using the nail plate and the angle plate. Figure 4 below shows the installation.</p>
