										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Suspended ceilings are often used to ensure good acoustics in the room and to isolate the transmission of sound from one room to another. At times the space above the visible ceiling is wished to be minimized. Lower space can also minimize the building costs when lower height rooms can be equipped with soundproofed suspended ceilings. To enable this we have developed a new type of acoustic direct hanger solution, which enables extremely low height soundproofed suspended ceilings.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">New InfiniSpring® Acoustic Direct Hanger decouple ceilings and cut off noise from around 13 Hz upwards. Figure 1 below shows the new InfiniSpring® Acoustic Direct Hanger 60-7kg (ADH60-7kg) design.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">InfiniSpring® Acoustic Direct Hanger 60-7kg is equipped with a 5 mm center hole for the ceiling anchoring. On the lower side InfiniSpring Acoustic Direct Hanger 60-7kg has nail plates to connect to GK60 steel profile or lumber. Nail plates are turned 90-degrees after the anchoring for connecting it. Figure 2 below shows the bent nail plates.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">Designed InfiniSpring® Acoustic Direct Hanger 60-7kg is for nominal loads up to 7 kg. For the overloads the acoustic direct hanger is equipped with integrated movement limiter. As the load increases above 10 kg the movement limiter grounds. InfiniSpring® Acoustic Direct Hanger 60-7kg spring even fits inside the GK60 mm ceiling profile and allows extremely low suspended ceiling heights. Figure 3 below shows the spring inside the profile.</p>

<p>Support distances P and T are shown in the below picture. Also maximum allowed support distances A, P and T for GK 60 mm ceiling system are shown below. Distance P is the distance between the upper ceiling profiles. Distance T is the distance between the acoustic hangers in the ceiling profile. Distance A is the distance between the lower ceiling profiles.<br />

<p>Using previous support distances the suspended ceiling can be assembled. In case of heavy objects additional hangers are needed, but they can be simply added close to the objects. <span style="color: black;"> <span style="color: #0d1619; letter-spacing: .75pt; background: #F8F9FB;"><span style="font-size: 1rem; color: #000000;">InfiniSpring® a</span><span style="color: #000000;">coustic hanger can take loads up to 25 kg and f</span></span></span>or example a 50 kg speaker requires two additional InfiniSpring® acoustic hangers close to the speaker location.</p>
<p><em>Example: </em>a 7m x 10 m size ceiling utilizes two layers of plasterboard with following area densities: 1 x 10 kg/m2 and 1 x 15 kg/m2. How are acoustic hanger <strong>support distances and acoustic hanger amounts</strong> defined?</p>
<ul>
<li><em>The plasterboard total area density is 10 kg/m2 + 15 kg/m2 = 25 kg/m2 (ceiling weight).</em></li>
<li><em>The support distances for the 25 kg/m2 can be checked from the above table: P = 1000 mm and T = 1000 mm. Lower GK 60 mm ceiling profiles are installed using A = max. 400 mm.</em></li>
<li><em>The support distances (1000 mm x 1000 mm) mean that one acoustic hanger is needed for a square meter area.</em></li>
<li><em>The total area of the ceiling is 7 m x 10 m = 70 m2 and the total number of InfiniSpring® Acoustic Hangers is 70 pieces.</em></li>
</ul>
<p>After the support distances and acoustic hanger amounts are known suspended ceiling <strong>installation steps</strong> are as follows:</p>
<ol>
<li><em>1. Acoustic hanger ceiling connection parts are installed to the roof using support distances from above.</em></li>
<li><em style="font-size: 1rem;">2. Acoustic hangers are connected to GK 60 mm ceiling profiles.</em></li>
<li><em style="font-size: 1rem;">3. Ceiling connection parts are connected to acoustic hangers.</em></li>
<li><em style="font-size: 1rem;">4. GK-ceiling system is assembled using manufacturer’s instructions.</em></li>
<li><em style="font-size: 1rem;">5. Plasterboards are lifted against the GK-ceiling system and plasterboards are fastened.</em></li>
</ol>
<p>With these steps the suspended ceiling can be completed. For the soundproofing it is always important to make the ceiling airtight, but still allow the plasterboard ceiling to move freely on the acoustic hanger springs. Suitable mass or elastic material is required to air tighten the plasterboard ceiling sides and other possible inlets. Also, for example air ducts need to allow the suspended ceiling and acoustic hanger springs to move freely. One option is to use flexible bellows or install ducting flexibly using InfiniSpring®-springs.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Acoustic hangers</strong> are used with suspended ceilings <strong>to improve impact and airborne noise soundproofing</strong>. For example a music room in a school will easily create a noise issue, if soundproofing is not done properly. Also acoustic regulations are not met, if soundproofing fails.</p>
<p>Our solution for high end ceiling soundproofing are InfiniSpring® acoustic hangers. <strong>InfiniSpring® Acoustic Hangers cut off noise from around 14 Hz upwards</strong>. We hear sounds from about <strong>20 Hz to 20 kHz</strong>. This range is also a commonly referenced audio frequency range. InfiniSpring®-springs <strong>function as low pass filters</strong> <strong>in the audio frequency range</strong>.</p>
<p><strong style="font-size: 1rem;">InfiniSpring® Acoustic Hangers consist of only three components: spring plate, rivet and upper connection. All  InfiniSpring® Acoustic Hangers utilize a standardized laser cut spring plate, which can be equipped with different types of upper connections based on the needs.</strong></p>
<p>Below are shown different InfiniSpring® Acoustic Hanger types. All acoustic hangers are using same spring plate, but the upper connection varies<span style="font-size: 1rem;"><strong>.</strong> </span><strong style="font-size: 1rem;">All acoustic hangers fit into the 60 mm GK steel profile</strong>, which is widely used steel profile in suspended ceilings. All presented acoustic hangers are for loads up to 25 kg and follow EN 13964 standard requirements. Declaration of Performance and CE-marking have been completed for the acoustic hangers.</p>
<p>First acoustic hanger option is equipped with a <strong>Nonius</strong> connection and it is named as <strong>Acoustic Hanger 60N</strong>. This is our standard product and Product Datasheet can be found from the Product-page.</p>

<p><strong>Acoustic Hanger 60N</strong> connection can be made using <strong>Nonius </strong>parts<strong>. </strong>Nonius parts (upper ceiling parts) exists for lengths from 100 mm up to 5000 mm.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Already some time back we contacted A-Insinöörit an engineering company in Finland. One expertise area at A-insinöörit is acoustics and our co-operation led to acoustic hanger development. Acoustic hangers are used with suspended ceilings and suspended ceilings (dropped ceilings) are visible to us in many buildings today. Suspended ceilings have been lowered to a height that electricity, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning can be installed above the visible ceiling. These suspended ceilings are also used to ensure good acoustics in the room and to isolate the transmission of impact and airborne noise from one room to another.</p>
<p>Acoustic hangers with low stiffness are used in the suspended ceilings to achieve the best possible impact and airborne noise soundproofing. With low stiffness and high elasticity suspended ceilings equipped with acoustic hangers provide noise isolation from very low frequencies upwards. Existing high performance acoustic hangers are typically manufactured using elastomer, rubber, or coil spring. The acoustic hangers are then hung using a support frame to achieve compressive loads. InfiniSpring® functions perfectly also in tension and this offered a new approach for designing simple high performance acoustic hanger design.</p>
<p>As we discussed with A-Insinöörit we got to know the main practical design requirements for the acoustic hangers. The nominal load carrying capacity needed to be up to 25 kg, extreme overload capacity up to 100 kg and suspended ceiling installation natural frequency of around 15 Hz. To achieve this 3 mm plate thickness InfiniSpring® was chosen for the design. The 3 mm plate thickness InfiniSpring® can take loads up to 25 kg easily and suspended ceiling natural frequencies are clearly below 15 Hz on wide load range.</p>
<p>In Finland Inlook Oy is a wholesale building materials company providing the products for the construction industry. Through Inlook Oy we familiarized us with the existing ceiling systems and ensured the ease of acoustic hanger installation through the co-operation. Figure 1 below shows developed InfiniSpring® acoustic hanger design.</p>

<p>InfiniSpring® acoustic hanger consists of only three parts: InfiniSpring®-spring plate, rivet, and upper connection. The upper connection can be equipped with any type of typical connection based on the needs: clip pin or hanger rod or threaded rod. In Figure 1 the upper connection is equipped with a Nonius clip pin connection. On the lower side InfiniSpring® acoustic hanger has a fit for 60 mm GK-steel profile, which is widely used steel profile in suspended ceilings.</p>
<p>Designed InfiniSpring®-spring hanger is for nominal loads up to 25 kg. For the overloads the spring plate is equipped with integrated movement limiter. As the load increases above 30 kg the movement limiter grounds. Overload protection is an important safety feature and with the movement limiter the maximum extreme load is clearly above 100 kg for a single spring hanger.</p>
<p>We have just recently finalized the Declaration of Performance and CE-marking for the acoustic spring hanger. We also have other acoustic products available, and these will be introduced later this year together with the Product Cards.</p>
