										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We are excited to introduce our new InfiniSpring® acoustic hanger series, designed specifically for <strong>CLT</strong> and <strong>I‑joist</strong> acoustic ceilings. These new hangers offer a simple, efficient, and height‑optimized solution for modern timber structures.</p>
<h3><strong>Compact Design – No Added Ceiling Height</strong></h3>
<p>Both hanger types are engineered as extremely simple sheet‑metal components that can be installed directly with wood screws. To support tight construction height requirements, the hangers are optimized so they <strong>do not increase the total ceiling height</strong>—the ceiling grid can be installed <strong>flush</strong> with the I‑joist or CLT element.</p>
<p>We currently offer two ceiling grid options:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>GK60 mm </strong></li>
<li><strong>Wooden bar </strong></li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>AH60W – For GK60 mm Ceiling Profiles (Up to 25 kg Load)</strong></h3>
<p>The <strong>AH60W acoustic hanger</strong> uses a <strong>3 mm InfiniSpring® element</strong> and is tailored for the GK60 mm metal ceiling profile.</p>

<li>Designed for <strong>25 kg maximum load</strong>, matching our existing GK60 hangers</li>
<li>Optimal load range <strong>15–25 kg</strong> to meet typical support distance requirements</li>
<li>Height‑minimized with an <strong>upper spacer</strong> to prevent spring contact with the I‑joist/CLT</li>
<li>Installed using standard wood screws</li>

As part of this project, InfiniSpring acoustic products were installed to ensure optimal sound performance throughout the building.</p>
<h3><strong>Customer Feedback</strong></h3>
<p>We are pleased to share positive feedback from <strong>Jarno Valkama</strong> of <em>Rakennustoimisto Pekka Kynnös Oy</em>: <em>“The installation of InfiniSpring acoustic products went smoothly, and we are happy to continue using these products in the future.”</em></p>
<h3><strong>Acoustic Performance Validation</strong></h3>
<p>To confirm compliance with the National Building Code of Finland’s noise requirements, comprehensive acoustic measurements were carried out at Pehula. InfiniSpring solutions are designed to minimize both impact noise and airborne noise, creating a better learning and working environment. Special attention was given to sensitive areas such as the music room, where sound isolation is critical to prevent disturbance in adjacent spaces.</p>
<p>The results clearly meet the required standards. Below is a summary of the measurements:</p>
<h4><strong>Standardized Sound Level Difference (DnT,w)</strong></h4>
<p>Measurements were performed using a loudspeaker connected to a pink noise generator. Sound pressure levels were recorded in both transmitting and receiving rooms, and standardized sound level differences (DnT) were calculated based on reverberation times. Both results horizontal for the wall structure and vertical for the floor exceed the requirements.</p>

<p>Impact sound measurements were conducted using a standardized impact sound device. Sound pressure levels were measured in the receiving rooms, and L’nT,w values were determined using the reference curve procedure.</p>

Traditional supports, such as those based on <strong>SFS 5377</strong>, create rigid connections that transmit noise and vibration into surrounding structures.</p>
<p>By replacing the stiff vertical U-profiles (U50) in these supports with InfiniSpring® springs, the system becomes <strong>flexible and acoustically optimized</strong>—dramatically reducing sound transmission. <p>InfiniSpring® technology was implemented in a CASEMATE Business Finland research project involving an AGCO Power internal combustion engine-generator set, operated by Global Boiler Works Oy (GBW). The project, led by the University of Oulu, formed the basis of a Master’s Thesis by Benjamin Timonen, supervised by Antti Korpela (GBW).</p>
<h1><span style="color: #00c04b;">Original Setup and Modification</span></h1>
<p>The engine-generator set was originally rigidly mounted to the floor of a test container. As part of the CASEMATE project, InfiniSpring® springs were dimensioned and installed between the engine-generator set and the container floor to reduce vibration transmission to the surrounding structure.</p>

<p>Notably, the engine-generator set remained unmodified. The InfiniSpring® springs were added externally, making the upgrade both straightforward and non-invasive.</p>

<li>Springs used: 10 × InfiniSpring® 8HS130</li>
<li>Load capacity per spring: 100–130 kg</li>
<li>Total supported load range: 1000–1300 kg</li>
</ul>
<p>This configuration matched the system’s weight perfectly, ensuring optimal isolation performance.</p>

<p>The critical isolation frequency is calculated as:</p>

<p>For vertical natural frequency of 7.7 Hz:</p>
<p>f_c = √2 · 7.7 Hz ≈ 10.9 Hz (653 rpm)</p>
<p>This means the spring installation begins isolating vibrations above 653 rpm. Vibration tests were conducted at operational speeds between 1000 rpm (16.7 Hz) and 2000 rpm (33.3 Hz).</p>
<h1><span style="color: #00c04b;">Transmissibility and Isolation Efficiency</span></h1>
<p>Transmissibility (T) is calculated using:</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>InfiniSpring® is well known for its exceptional vibration and noise isolation properties. However, its unique capabilities extend beyond isolation — making it highly suitable for a wide range of dynamic applications. One such innovative use has recently been demonstrated together with students at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SeAMK).</p>
<p>InfiniSpring® has developed a novel prototype of a vibrating conveyor. Students at SeAMK have followed vibrating conveyor development and supported with the manufacturing drawings and assembly of the vibrating conveyor. Vibrating conveyor was first assembled and tested at SeAMK laboratory to validate design simulations. A Finite Element (FE) simulation model of the vibrating conveyor enables in-depth analysis of the converyor’s mechanical and dynamic behavior, allowing students to see simulated data being compared to prototype testing data. In the future SeAMK students can use vibrating conveyor for studying real life dynamic and vibration phenomena. Students can also practice vibration measurements using the vibrating conveyor.</p>
<p>Vibrating conveyor prototype is incorporating InfiniSpring®-springs in a clever and efficient way. The conveyor is constructed entirely from sheet metal steel, manufactured exclusively using laser cutting. It is powered by an eccentric motor with adjustable speed, and the system allows for changes in both motor RPM and spring angle.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>This prototype demonstrates impressive functionality:</strong><br />
At 5300 RPM and a 45-degree spring angle, the conveyor operates with smooth, consistent vibratory motion and effectively conveys materials in a continuous flow. The use of InfiniSpring®-springs enables not only vibration but also contributes to the efficient, integrated design of the entire structure.<br />
InfiniSpring Company will productize vibrating conveyor designs. Ultimately, the goal is to design an optimized and simplified version where the InfiniSpring®-springs become an integral part of the conveyor’s structural frame. We look forward to showcasing the final vibrating conveyor designs later once they are complete.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Pehula Multi-Service Center is currently under construction in Sastamala, Finland. This forward-thinking development will house both a school and a kindergarten with a preschool, providing a cohesive and nurturing environment for children from their earliest years through to school age.</p>
<p>The project’s general contractor is <strong>Rakennustoimisto Pekka Kynnös Oy</strong>, a respected construction company, and the construction management consultant is <strong>A-Insinöörit</strong>, a Finnish consultancy specializing in project development and design services. <strong>InfiniSpring®</strong> is proud to be part of this meaningful project, working in close cooperation with <strong>Virpi Hankaniemi</strong> from A-Insinöörit. Among her many contributions, Virpi has ensured that the Pehula Multi-Service Center complies with the National Building Code of Finland’s noise requirements.</p>
<p>Scheduled for completion by the end of 2025, the building is being constructed primarily from <strong>mass timber</strong>, aligning with sustainable construction practices. The design emphasizes flexibility, enabling multi-functional use of the space while fostering a safe and familiar learning environment for children.</p>
<p>In January 2025, we visited the site with <strong>Jarno Valkama</strong> from Rakennustoimisto Pekka Kynnös Oy to deliver <strong>InfiniSpring Acoustic Products</strong>. At that time, the mass timber construction phase had been completed, and interior construction work was actively underway.</p>
<p>InfiniSpring Acoustic Products are playing a key role in achieving excellent soundproofing throughout the building. Our solutions help minimize both impact and airborne noise, enhancing the learning and working environment. In particular, we’ve supported acoustic isolation in sensitive areas like the music room, where sound can easily disturb adjacent spaces if not properly managed. Our products are being installed in walls and ceilings to reduce sound transmission and ensure a calm, focused atmosphere throughout the facility.</p>

Using our patented InfiniSpring®-springs, this innovative solution enables resilient and flexible pipe and duct installations—while utilizing highly standardized SFS 5377 pipe support components.</p>
<p class="" data-start="607" data-end="876">One of the most common applications for these supports is in diesel generator installations, where exhaust pipes must meet stringent environmental noise regulations. In these situations, the InfiniSpring®-spring provides a simple and effective method for soundproofing.</p>

<p class="" data-start="946" data-end="1200">Traditionally, exhaust pipes are installed using rigid, standardized supports such as the SFS 5377 Pipe Slide. <h4 class="" data-start="2358" data-end="2420"><strong data-start="2363" data-end="2420">Sliding vs. Fixed Support – And a New Hybrid Solution</strong></h4>
<p class="" data-start="2422" data-end="2738">In standard pipe system design, SFS 5377 Pipe Slides can be installed either as <strong data-start="2502" data-end="2511">fixed</strong> or <strong data-start="2515" data-end="2526">sliding</strong> supports. Sliding is typically enabled by mounting the lower L-profiles (L100x50x8) in grooves, allowing movement to accommodate thermal expansion. Fixed supports are achieved by welding the L-profiles in place.</p>
<p class="" data-start="2740" data-end="2928">However, <strong data-start="2749" data-end="2826">InfiniSpring® Pipe Slides are not suitable for fixed support applications</strong>, as the spring components are designed for flexibility and cannot bear equivalent longitudinal loads.</p>
<p class="" data-start="2930" data-end="3211">To solve this, we have developed a new <strong data-start="2969" data-end="3022">InfiniSpring® Pipe Support (longitudinally fixed)</strong>. This design provides a rigid longitudinal connection while maintaining flexibility in all other directions. It enables resilient installation even where a fixed support point is required.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Washing machines are a source of structure borne noise. Structure borne noise passes through the adjustment legs to the surroundings, and it can be a very disturbing source of noise in many buildings. We have developed a new type of vibration isolation platform for the washing machine structure borne noise. The platform has been tested in a two-story wooden house, where washing machine structure borne noise was an issue. Today with the InfiniSpring Vibration Isolation Platform the washing machine can be operated even at nighttime and the residents can sleep in peace.</p>
<p>The vibration isolation platform utilizes InfiniSpring steel spring isolators. The steel spring isolators are laser cut sheet metal components. Steel spring design is unique and offers new design possibilities. In the developed vibration isolation platform separate InfiniSpring-springs were used. In this case the dryer was sitting on top of the washing machine and the vibration isolation platform was dimensioned below the units. Washing machine weight was estimated to be around 70 kg, drier weight 52 kg and laundry weight 11 kg. Total weight being 70 + 52 + 11kg = 133 kg. InfiniSpring 4HS35 spring is for a load range of 25-35 kg. Five 4HS35 springs were chosen to be installed below the units and five springs are for a load range of 125 kg -175 kg. Two 60 cm x 60 cm x 2,7 cm plywood boards were connected using the springs to build the vibration isolation platform. Lower plywood was equipped with adjustment feet to align the vibration isolation platform.</p>
<p>In this case the washing machine vibration and noise transmission to the surroundings is greatly reduced with the vibration isolation platform manufactured using the plywood boards. Vibration isolation platform is light weight and allows easy alignment in the bathrooms. There is also no need to align the washing machine as the platform will take care of the alignment. Please see the vibration isolation platform pictures below describing the assembly.</p>

<li>One spring is installed to the front in this case (spring on the right in below picture), spring location is 30 cm from the middle</li>
<li>Two springs are installed 50 cm from the front, spring locations are 20 cm from the middle</li>
<li>Remaining two springs can be calculated from the middle: 20 cm + 20 cm = 30 cm + X + X, X = 5 cm and springs are installed 5 cm from the middle</li>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In the acoustic product tests, we noticed that InfiniSpring®-springs have very large plastic deformation capacity. The spring loads were above 200 kg before the steel rivets failed. Springs in the acoustic products are for loads up to 25 kg and InfiniSpring®-springs experienced very large plastic deformations in the tensile tests, but did not fail.</p>
<p>The acoustic product tensile tests with very large plastic deformations made us want to increase the loading speed and to see InfiniSpring® shock load performance. InfiniSpring® 3HS20 was chosen for the tests. It is cut out of a 3 mm thick sheet metal plate, weighting only 38 grams. This spring can carry loads up to 20 kg.</p>
<p>In the shock tests a chain is connected to the spring and on the other end of the chain there is a 9 kg mass. InfiniSpring® 3HS20 can carry the 9 kg static mass easily. In the shock test this mass is first lifted higher and then dropped in order to gain an impact force for the spring. Spring deforms due to this impact and reduces the impact force significantly. Tests and test results are shown in the video below:</p>

<p>InfiniSpring® laser cut sheet metal steel springs are highly effective against shock loads. Shock loads need to be managed, for example in explosions and seismic events.</p>

<p>We wanted to test InfiniSpring®-springs in overload situations, where load is clearly above the nominal load. We heard from the spring researchers that creep-aging would be fastest during the first three weeks of the testing. After the three week period creep-aging should not be an issue. InfiniSpring® Acoustic Wall Tie 128NN was chosen for the tests. AWT128NN is for nominal loads up to 25 kg.</p>
<p>AWT128NN springs were tested using tensile load. Two springs were overloaded using 30,7 kg and 41,4 kg weights. Initial openings were measured after the loads were applied. For the 30,7 kg weight the initial opening was 7,0 mm and for the 41,4 kg weight 7,9 mm. Initial openings without the loads were 3,9 mm for both springs. Figure 1 shows the spring with tensile overload.</p>

<p>Static tensile overload tests started 18.6.2024 and spring openings were measured regularly. Openings remained the same during the tests. After six weeks of testing 1.8.2024 loads were released, and openings were measured to see the plastic deformation magnitude. It can be seen from 1.8.2024 measurement that the initial no load openings have grown slightly from the original: 30,7 kg load from 3,9 mm to 4,2 mm and 41,4 kg load from 3,9 mm to 4,5 mm. This is since the springs are overloaded and yield strength is exceeded in both overload cases. Table 1 below shows all results.</p>

<p>Table 1 results show that the openings have remained the same with the overloads. After 1.8.2024 spring 2 was removed and tests were continued for the spring 1 with 30,7 kg load. This test is continued and last check was made 1.10.2024 and spring 1 opening was initial 7,0 mm.</p>
<p>These results indicate that InfiniSpring®-springs can manage static overloads. The spring openings remained the same throughout the testing and no creep-aging was noticed. InfiniSpring®-spring and chosen steel grade seem to perform extremely well even with the static overloads.</p>
