One of the latest innovations using InfiniSpring® technology is the Acoustic Pipe Support, which redefines how pipes are mounted and isolated. Traditional supports, such as those based on SFS 5377, create rigid connections that transmit noise and vibration into surrounding structures.
By replacing the stiff vertical U-profiles (U50) in these supports with InfiniSpring® springs, the system becomes flexible and acoustically optimized—dramatically reducing sound transmission. This makes InfiniSpring® Acoustic Pipe Supports an ideal choice for environments where acoustic performance is critical.
Real-World Application: Hospital Installation
The first InfiniSpring® Acoustic Pipe Supports were installed in a hospital setting for a horizontal DN300 pipe, using two key components:
- InfiniSpring® Acoustic Pipe Slide
- InfiniSpring® Acoustic Anchor Point
These components work together to manage thermal expansion and vibration. The Pipe Slide allows the pipe to move freely within a groove, while the Anchor Point absorbs high longitudinal loads while remaining flexible in other directions. This combination ensures both structural integrity and acoustic isolation.
